The Faery King bejewelled us all

with drops of the sun's tears.

He laid the pearls upon our necks

and sought to ease our fears..

If you go down to the woods today you are sure for a big surprise... The seasons are changing and the local lord of the trees wears red and gold instead of green. Love the pictures.

I think in Australia it is coming onto spring in't it? So the faery king will be wearing a coat of light fuzzy green now!

You should see the red maple leaves out my back door now though! But then, I'm in Ottawa, where the faery king wears a cloak of red, orange, gold and rich brown this time of year.

Everything here is green and growing and being born...snakes a breeding and coming into my house...that was a bit of a startler for me...have to keep the gauze doors shut methinks!

Dear Dreaming Stirrer
Have you seen the Archibald winner?
You'd crap it in ... and 50 thousand smackers.
go for it!
"Sydney painter Del Kathryn Barton combined all three yesterday to win Australia's premier portrait prize with a celebration of motherly love, featuring her two children, entitled You are what is most beautiful about me.

Asked what she might do with the $50,000 Archibald Prize, her mind turned to matters pragmatic. "It's all about the mortgage, I'd say," she laughed.

Posing at the NSW Art Gallery with her self-portrait, featuring her son, Kell, 5, and daughter Arella, 2, Barton said she had invested so much emotional energy in the painting that it was not for sale at any price. "This is a painting that I will definitely keep,"
